Cancellation and refunds
This page covers paid plans. What you may do with the animations is set out in the licence, and this page does not change it except where it says so below.
Who you are paying
Payments are taken by Paddle, which is the merchant of record for this site. Paddle sells the subscription to you, handles the payment, charges any tax that applies where you are, and issues receipts and refunds. Business Nebula publishes Pulsar and provides what you are buying; Paddle is the party the payment is made to, and Paddle is the name that appears on a card or bank statement rather than Pulsar or Business Nebula.
Cancelling
A subscription can be cancelled at any time from your account, which opens the billing portal Paddle provides. No notice is required and no reason is asked for.
Cancelling stops the next payment. It does not end the period you have already paid for: access to the premium catalogue continues to the end of that period, and the account then returns to the Free plan. Nothing is charged after the cancellation, and a cancelled subscription is not restarted without being bought again.
The Lifetime licence is a single payment and has nothing to cancel. It does not renew and cannot lapse for non-payment.
Refunds
A payment can be refunded in full within 14 days of being taken, for any reason, including simply changing your mind. That applies to a first payment, a renewal and a Lifetime purchase alike. Ask through the contact page, or through the billing portal, and say which payment you mean.
After 14 days a renewal is not refunded as a matter of course, because the period it paid for has begun. If a renewal took you by surprise, ask anyway — that is usually refunded and it is a poor way to keep a customer otherwise.
A refund is returned by the same method the payment was made, by Paddle, and how long it takes to appear is a matter for your bank rather than for us.
Your rights under Australian Consumer Law
Nothing on this page limits the consumer guarantees under the Australian Consumer Law. Those guarantees cannot be excluded. If what you bought is faulty, is not as described, or does not do what we said it does, you may be entitled to a refund, a replacement or compensation regardless of the period above and regardless of anything else written here or in the licence.
What a refund does to the licence
A refund undoes the purchase. The Premium licence that payment bought ends when the refund is made — including the perpetual licence over animations downloaded during the period being refunded, which the licence would otherwise leave in place after a subscription ends. Continuing to use those animations after a refund is use without a licence.
This is not a penalty and is not about making refunds difficult. It is the difference between a refund and a free copy: without it, one quarter’s payment taken back would leave a permanent licence to the entire premium catalogue. The same applies to a payment reversed by a chargeback or lost to a failed settlement.
Nothing here reaches back into a period you paid for and did not have refunded. Work you shipped under a licence that was genuinely held stays licensed.
Asking
Anything on this page, including a refund outside the stated period, goes through the Business Nebula contact page.
