Privacy

You can browse this entire catalogue without an account and without being asked for anything. Accounts are optional, and this page says exactly what changes if you make one.

Browsing without an account

No analytics package, no tracking pixel, no advertising network, no third-party script. Nobody is being profiled here, by us or by anyone else. The typefaces are served from this domain, so your browser makes no request to Google Fonts or any other font host.

Two things are stored in your own browser, and neither leaves your device:

• Motion preference. Turning motion off with the header toggle stores pulsar:motion in local storage so the setting survives a reload. Until you touch that control, the site follows your operating system’s reduce-motion setting and stores nothing.
• Favourites, before you sign in. Hearting an animation while signed out keeps the list in local storage. If you later make an account, you are asked whether to bring that list with you.

If you make an account

Then there is personal information, and this is the whole of it:

• Your email address. Needed to sign you in — the sign-in link is sent to it — and to reach you about your account. There is no password, so there is no password for us to store or to lose.
• What you favourite and collect. The animations you save, and the collections you put them in.
• What you download. A record of which animations you took and when, kept so that a question about what a licence covers can be answered from fact rather than memory.
• Billing status, if you subscribe. Which plan you are on and whether it is current. Card details are never sent to this site or stored by it: payment is handled by the payment provider, who is the merchant of record.

A session cookie is set when you sign in, so that the next page knows it is still you. It is required for the site to work while signed in, it is not used for tracking, and signing out ends it.

Email is sent through Resend, which handles delivery on our behalf. Sign-in email is transactional: making an account does not subscribe you to anything.

Where it is kept

Account data is held in a Postgres database operated by Neon, and the site runs on Vercel. Both may store and process data outside Australia. Neither sells it, and it is not combined with data from anywhere else.

Server logs

Vercel keeps standard request logs — IP address, timestamp, the page requested, and the browser’s user-agent string — for a limited period, as every web server does. They are used to keep the site running and to investigate abuse, not to build a profile.

Your rights

Australian privacy law gives you the right to access the personal information an organisation holds about you and to ask for it to be corrected. If you have an account, you can see what is held from your account page, and you can delete the account there. Deleting it removes your email address, favourites, collections and download history.

Anything you downloaded while your account existed stays licensed to you — see the licence. Deleting an account does not revoke that.
